China’s ammonium sulfate export quantity and value increased amazing in 2022.
On October 15, 2021, the policy stipulates that the import and export of chemical fertilizers requires legal inspection, but ammonium sulfate is not included. In 2022, the export volume of ammonium sulfate will hit a record high.
From a monthly perspective, the export volume of ammonium sulfphate in China in 2022 will peak at 1.76 million tons in September, an increase of 980,000 tons compared with the same period in 2021, and a year-on-year increase of 126.8%. The export volume in the same period last year was 780,000 tons.
The export value peaked in September at US$408.403 million in 2022, an increase of US$250.71 million compared to the same period in 2021, an increase of 159.1% year-on-year, and the export value in the same period last year was US$157.693 million.
From January to December 2022, China’s ammonium sulfate export quantity was 12.44 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%. In the month of December, the export volume was 1.17 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20.0%.
In terms of export value, from January to December 2022, China’s ammonium sulfate export value was US$3,256,922,000, a year-on-year increase of 53.2%. In the month of December, the export value was US$258,174,000, a year-on-year decrease of 43.1%.
In 2022, the average export price of China’s ammonium sulphate was US$261.81/ton, and in 2021, it was US$199.98/ton. In 2022, the average monthly export price of ammonium sulfate in China peaked in January at US$335.08/ton, an increase of US$190.77/ton compared with the same period in 2021 average price in the same period last year was US$144.31/ton.
