SHIP WITH 72,000 TONS OF AMMONIUM SULFATE, THE LARGEST AMOUNT EVER RECORDED IN SANTOS DOCKS
The Port of Santos received a ship with 72,000 tons of bulk ammonium sulfate. The information comes from the Orion Group – the agency responsible for the port terminal’s call. The vessel Panamaz Breeze departed from the ports of Yantai and Qinhuangdao in China and is moored at Guarujá Maritime Terminal (Termag). The unloading of the ship should take six days if it will be moved by rail.

SANTOS WELCOMES THE LARGEST FERTILIZER OPERATIONS IN ITS HISTORY
The Port of Santos received the largest ship of bulk fertilizers in history on January 18th. The Singapore-flagged MV Benfica ship arrived at the Guarujá Maritime Terminal (TERMAG) carrying approximately 76,000 tons of ammonium sulfate and ammonium phosphate, both of which are used to enrich soils and are essential nutrients for plants. Bulkfertz, which represents international producers of fertilizer inputs, charted the vessel. The service was conducted by Unimar Agenciamentos Marítimos. The cargo will be sent via road and rail modes to several Brazilian states.

LARGEST EVER FERTILIZER SHIPMENT ARRIVES AT PORT OF SANTOS
The largest ever fertilizer carrier to dock at the Port of Santos set sail on September 13, informed Wilson Sons, which provided maritime agency services for the vessel.The vessel’s charterer is Allied Harvest, represented by AgriLaf in Brazil. The 229-meter-long MV Red Marlin left Huanghua, China, on July 12 with 82,500 tonnes of ammonium sulfate and arrived on the Sao Paulo coast on August 27. After the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, it had registered an increase in the volume of fertilizer handling at ports.

THE VESSEL BROKE THE RECORD AS THE LARGEST FERTILIZER VESSEL IN THE HISTORY OF BRAZIL
The M/V “Affinity Diva” carried 85,200 tons of ammonium sulphate left the port of Huanghua, China in mid-October 2022, and arrived in Santos in January. Operated by Wilson Sons as a shipping agency, chartered by Allied Harvest, represented by AgriLaf in Brazil. As an agricultural fertilizer, eighty percent of the ammonium sulfate used in Brazil comes from China.

PARANAGUA PORT RECEIVES LARGEST FERTILIZER SINGLE-SHIP CARGO ON RECORD
Since last Friday (Jan 13), 73,310 tonnes of ammonium sulfate have been unloaded off the Red Marlin vessel at the dedicated fertilizer Fospar-operated pier. The cargo came from the Chinese port of Tianjin, represented in Brazil by Fertibroker. The maritime agency responsible for the vessel is Orion.
Before this, the largest volume of fertilizers brought to the port came with the Lord Byron vessel in July 2022. At the time, 64,777 tonnes of nitrogen and phosphorus-based fertilizers landed. The static storage capacity of fertilizers in Paraná’s ports is more than three million tonnes.
