Colombian Navy will continue to carry out control operations
In a recent offensive, carried out by the Colombian Navy, it managed to seize large amounts of cement and fuel illegally transported on the Magdalena River, in the departments of Bolívar and Cesar.
In total, 79.6 tons of cement were seized, which were found in a vessel inspected in the general area of the municipality of Achí, Bolívar, and in two meter-type vessels, near the municipality of San Martín de Loba.
Likewise, 13,226 gallons of fuel were confiscated, including ACPM and gasoline, which were transported in suspicious boats and vehicles in the vicinity of the Magdalena River.
In addition to construction materials and fuel, 1,500 kilograms of UREA and 1,500 gallons of ammonium sulfate were seized from the vessels inspected in Achí, Bolívar. These findings indicate the possible use of these substances for the processing of cocaine hydrochloride by organized armed groups.
The seized solid and liquid inputs were delivered to the competent authorities, while the Colombian Navy will continue to carry out river registration and control operations in the areas under its responsibility.
