Evading Commodity Inspection By Ammonium Sulfate
The Qingdao Customs Anti-smuggling Bureau carried out network collection operations simultaneously in Qingdao, Jinan, Binzhou and other places, and successfully destroyed a criminal gang that evaded commodity inspection and exported chemical fertilizers by falsely declaring the name of the product. Five suspects were arrested, involving more than 20,000 tons of chemical fertilizers. The value of the case is more than 30 million yuan.
After investigation, the criminal suspect Jiao used five trading companies under his name as business units, instructing employees to use false declarations of product names when exporting chemical fertilizers which could not handle commodity inspection and customs clearance forms. He falsely reports compound fertilizers, organic fertilizers, etc. as ammonium sulfate, magnesium sulfate and other chemicals that do not require legal inspection. He has repeatedly exported more than 20,000 tons of fertilizers, which is suspected of evading commodity inspection.
